Army conducts educational outreach for Gujjar-Bakkarwal children at Patnitop

UDHAMPUR, Jun 13: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote education and strengthen ties with local communities, the Sohanda Battalion of Delta Force organised an educational outreach programme for children belonging to the Gujjar-Bakkarwal community in Patnitop.

During the programme, Army personnel conducted elementary-level educational classes aimed at improving basic literacy and numeracy skills among the children. The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with children actively engaging in learning activities.

To encourage continued education, stationery items including notebooks, pencils, pens and other essential study materials were distributed to the children. The initiative sought to motivate young learners and provide them with the necessary resources to pursue their education.

The programme reflects the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment towards the socio-economic development of remote communities and its continuous endeavour to empower the younger generation through education. The local community appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude for the Army’s sustained efforts towards the welfare of the Gujjar-Bakkarwal population.
