KATRA, May 21: The Inter-House Sports Events organized by the Board for Sports Activities (BSA), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, concluded with enthusiastic participation from students across the university.
Five houses namely Agni, Vayu, Jal, Prithvi, and Aakash participated in the sporting extravaganza. A total of 11 different sports disciplines were conducted during the event, witnessing participation of more than 300 students.
Agni house was adjudged the overall winner of the event. The tournament provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their sporting talent, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The valedictory ceremony was conducted in the presence of Prof. Sharda M. Potukuchi, Dean Faculty of Sciences, Dr. Parvez Singh Slathia, Incharge Sports, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, President NSS, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Asst. Prof. and Dr. Kamaldeep, Vice President, BSA.
The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged students to actively engage in sports and extracurricular activities for their overall development.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Balbir Singh, Sports Coach, along with the dedicated support of the sports staff, whose collective efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
BSA expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar for providing the necessary facilities and support for conduct of the event.
