Army conducts public meet at Dabraj under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan

RAJOURI, May 31: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, an Awam Meet was organized at Dabraj, Rajouri, on 31 May 2026 by the Indian Army. The event was conducted with the objective of strengthening the bond between the security forces and the local population while creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

The programme witnessed the active participation of 20 villagers, including elders, youth, community leaders and other residents of the area. During the interaction, representatives of the Indian Army highlighted the growing menace of substance abuse and emphasized the collective responsibility of society in combating this challenge. The participants were encouraged to remain vigilant, support vulnerable individuals and promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among the younger generation.

The gathering also provided a valuable platform for local residents to discuss issues concerning the community and exchange views on matters related to social welfare, education and youth development. The Indian Army assured the public of its continued support and cooperation in initiatives aimed at the welfare and progress of the region.

The participants appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army in conducting awareness programmes and community outreach activities that contribute towards social harmony and community development. The event concluded with a pledge by all attendees to support the vision of a drug-free society and actively contribute towards the success of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
