Registrar of Companies J&K leads Tiranga Yatra at Bahu Plaza

JAMMU, Aug 17: As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026, the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ROC), Jammu & Kashmir, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the local chapters/branches of professional institutes (ICAI) and (ICSI) today organised and led a Tiranga Yatra at Bahu Plaza, Jammu.

The Tiranga Yatra witnessed participation by officers and officials of the ROC J&K office, along with Jammu-based members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) led by CA Amit Gupta and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) led by CS Sahil. Carrying the national flag, the participants spread the message of patriotism, national unity, and collective responsibility.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Registrar of Companies, J&K, Haamid Bukhari said that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is a unique initiative that seeks to deepen the emotional connection of every citizen with the national flag and the nation. He noted that the 2026 campaign marks the fifth edition, continuing the initiative that began in 2022. “This year, a special feature of the initiative is the 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram, the national song through which we cherish the cultural history of our nationalism and the values of patriotism of which we all should be proud,” he added.

He said that such initiatives inculcate a feeling of patriotism in the heart of every Indian and inspire citizens to cherish the ideals, sacrifices, and values of the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country’s independence. He further emphasised the message “Culture Unites Us All”, observing that the values of unity and patriotism should remain above everything else for every citizen of the country.

Bukhari further highlighted the growing reach of the 2026 Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, observing that the initiative has evolved into a people’s movement extending beyond the territorial borders of India. He said that the National Flag has been proudly displayed at various Indian embassies across the world, bringing together members of the Indian diaspora and citizens in a shared celebration of the Tricolour and the spirit of national pride.

CA Amit Gupta and CS Sahil, chairpersons representing the Jammu-based CA and CS fraternities, respectively, also emphasised that the participation of professional bodies such as ICAI and ICSI reflects the important role that professional communities can play in strengthening the spirit of responsible citizenship and contributing to nation-building.
