KVS Jammu Region organizes Rashtriya Ekta Parv 2026–27 at Regional Level

JAMMU, Aug 3: PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Jammu, is hosting the two-day Regional Level KVS Rashtriya Ekta Parv 2026–27 on 3 and 4 August 2026.

Harshit Mishra, Honourable Deputy Commissioner, KVS Regional Office, Jammu, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour were Hari Singh, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Jammu, and Islam Khan, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Jammu.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Nodal Officer Amit Walter, Principal, KV No. 2 Akhnoor, Bhushan Kumar, Principal, KV No. 1 Akhnoor; and Akash Gupta, Principal, PM SHRI KV No. 1 Jammu. Eminent professors from the University of Jammu also attended the inaugural ceremony.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Venue Principal Akash Gupta extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, and all the distinguished guests.

A total of 216 participants and 25 escorts from five clusters of the Jammu Region—KV No. 1 Udhampur, KV No. 1 Jammu, KV No. 1 Srinagar, KV Bantalab, and KV No. 3 Srinagar—participated enthusiastically in the event.

The young participants showcased their talent through a variety of cultural and artistic activities, including folk dance, vocal music, instrumental music, theatre, traditional storytelling, visual arts, artefact display, and quiz competitions.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Harshit Mishra encouraged the participants with his inspiring words. He emphasised the importance of such programmes in fostering a sense of common identity, promoting national integration, and celebrating India’s rich cultural diversity among the youth.

The programme was a grand success under the guidance of Shri Akash Gupta, Principal PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Jammu.
