SOPORE, Nov 7: The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) on Saturday organised an organisational meeting at Dangarpora, Sopore, during which dozens of workers from different political parties joined the organisation.
The meeting was attended by SBSP State President Vivek Bali, accompanied by Political Advisor Dilawar Singh, Provisional District President Baramulla Mohammad Ramzan Ganie, Mohammad Ashraf Lone, Ghulam Nabi Najar, Habibul Rather and other party members.
Addressing the media, Vivek Bali said the meeting was organised to strengthen the party’s organisational structure and expand its presence at the grassroots level. He claimed that several workers from different political parties had joined SBSP, expressing confidence that the party would continue working for public welfare and development.
Taking aim at the National Conference, Bali questioned its failure to fulfil promises made in its election manifesto, particularly those concerning free LPG cylinders and 200 units of free electricity.
He alleged that the NC leadership was raising the issue of Article 370 to divert public attention from its unfulfilled electoral commitments. Bali maintained that restoration of Article 370 was not possible and accused the party of misleading people on the issue.
He further criticised the National Conference over its political approach, claiming that its protests had focused on statehood rather than delivering on promises made to the public.
Commenting on Agha Ruhullah’s political stand, Bali described him as an honest and courageous leader who, according to him, had demonstrated the willingness to stand by his principles despite political challenges.
“We have seen many politicians, but none like Agha Ruhullah. Even a Sarpanch may hesitate to leave his position, but Ruhullah has shown the courage to take a stand,” Bali said.
He added that SBSP respected Ruhullah for what he described as his commitment to public concerns and principles. Bali also criticised the Congress party over its political role and performance.
Meanwhile, an SBSP delegation visited the residence of Adnan Rather, an MBBS student who lost his life in Bangladesh, and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
The party leaders shared their grief with the family and prayed for strength and patience during the difficult time.
The delegation also urged the Government of India to facilitate the return of Adnan Rather’s mortal remains to his native place at the earliest so that his family could perform the last rites.
