KULGAM, May 21: In a significant administrative development aimed at strengthening rural road infrastructure in South Kashmir, Engineer Dilawar Ahmad officially assumed charge as Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of PMGSY Sub Division Kulgam.Known for his dedication, professional integrity and contribution to developmental works across various parts of Kashmir, Engineer Dilawar Ahmad brings with him years of experience in the engineering sector. Over the years, he has been associated with the successful execution of several infrastructure and connectivity projects, earning appreciation for his work ethic and administrative capabilities.

Soon after taking charge, Engineer Dilawar Ahmad made his priorities clear, stating that his primary focus would be on ensuring the construction of better, durable and high-quality roads for the convenience and welfare of the people.
Speaking to our correspondent, he said that developmental projects must directly benefit the public and improve connectivity in remote villages, adding that better roads play a crucial role in economic growth, education, healthcare access and overall development of rural areas.
He asserted that no compromise whatsoever would be tolerated in construction works, whether related to quality or quantity of material being used in projects.
“Transparency, accountability and quality work will remain our top priorities. Every developmental project must meet the prescribed engineering standards and public expectations,” he said.
In a major move reflecting his seriousness towards maintaining quality infrastructure, Engineer Dilawar Ahmad issued an official circular within just a day of assuming office. The circular directed all officials and engineers associated with PMGSY developmental works to strictly ensure the use of high-quality construction material in all ongoing and upcoming projects.
Sources within the department said the directions were issued to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and ensure that all works are executed as per technical guidelines and approved standards.
Engineer Dilawar Ahmad also appealed to the general public to extend cooperation to the department during the execution of developmental projects so that works can be completed smoothly, efficiently and within the stipulated timeframe.
