Urges Govt to fulfill its promise and provide them permanent govt jobs
KULGAM, May 17: Jal Shakti Department land donors on Sunday expressed strong resentment against the Jal Shakti department for failing to fulfil their promise and they demanded permanent government jobs.
Land donors from different area of kulgam, Quazigund, and kund told To News J&K correspondent Gh Nabi khanday that the government had promised them jobs instead of compensation decades ago when their land was acquired for various Jal Shakti projects.
They also said that Jal Shakti Department acquired land from them for the construction of filtration plants, water supply schemes and impounding reserviours.
“We have informed the Jal Shakti department many times to fulfill their promise that they made during the land acquisition, but no heed was given to us so far” they added
“The administration after taking our land decades ago engaged only few hundred among us and that too as need based workers though we were promised permanent jobs,” they said.
They appealed government to fulfill its promise and provide them permanent government jobs as soon as possible.
