BJP OBC Morcha intensifies organisational outreach in Kashmir Valley

SRINAGAR, Jul 1: In a major organisational outreach aimed at strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party’s presence in the Kashmir Valley, BJP OBC Morcha Jammu & Kashmir UT State General Secretary Sham Mehra concluded his five-day organisational tour of the Valley, held under the guidance of BJP OBC Morcha J&K UT President Braham Jyot Satti.

The tour, Mehra’s first since assuming office as State General Secretary, focused on reinforcing the organisational structure of the Morcha, enhancing coordination with district and constituency-level office bearers, and expanding the party’s grassroots network across the Valley.

During the visit, Mehra chaired two key organisational meetings in the Kashmir district, where discussions centred on strengthening the party organisation, expanding booth-level outreach, and ensuring that the BJP’s ideology, vision and policies reach every section of society. The meetings also reviewed preparations for upcoming organisational programmes and strategies to improve coordination among party workers.

The leaders paid tributes to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, remembering his contribution and sacrifice for the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation. They reaffirmed their commitment to working for public welfare while carrying forward his ideals.

A major organisational review meeting was held in Srinagar under Mehra’s leadership, where he assessed the progress of previous programmes and outlined the roadmap for future activities. He instructed district and constituency office bearers to complete the online organisational training programme at the earliest to equip workers with a better understanding of the party’s ideology, organisational structure and public outreach mechanisms.

The meeting was attended by District President Srinagar Hilal Ahmad Kumar, District Vice Presidents Nazir Ahmad, Feroz Ahmad and Abdul Majeed Hajam, District Secretary Fazil Faiyaz, District Office Secretary Mohammad Arif Shaikh, District Publicity Secretaries Basit Ahmad and Zafer Ahmad, Hazratbal Constituency President Mohammad Amin Dar, Zadibal Constituency President Asif Ahmad, Hazratbal Media Incharge Iqbal Ahmad, besides former office bearers and senior party members.

Addressing the gathering, Sham Mehra said the BJP OBC Morcha is committed to building a strong and vibrant organisational framework across Jammu & Kashmir. He stressed that a robust booth-level organisation is the foundation of the party’s strength and urged workers to remain actively connected with the public while effectively implementing the party’s programmes and welfare initiatives.

In his message, Braham Jyot Satti congratulated Sham Mehra and the Kashmir Valley team on the successful completion of the organisational tour. He described the Valley as an important region for the Morcha’s organisational expansion and expressed confidence that continuous interaction with workers would further strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Satti said the BJP is guided by the principles of nationalism, social justice and inclusive development, and called upon party workers to complete the organisational training programme on priority while remaining closely connected with the people. He reiterated that the BJP OBC Morcha would continue working for the empowerment and welfare of the OBC community and further strengthen its organisational base across Jammu & Kashmir.
