KULGAM, Sep 5: In a coordinated effort to curb the growth of wild cannabis, police and civil administration authorities conducted destruction drives at several locations across Kulgam district.

In Devsar, Police Station Devsar, in collaboration with the Tehsildar Devsar and active participation of civil society members, cleared around 8–10 kanals of land at Bhanghal, Cheyan, Sopat and Devsar Town.

Similarly, Kulgam Police, led by DO Mirbazar, in collaboration with the Excise Department, destroyed wild cannabis spread over approximately 15 kanals of land at Sakhloo, Baghi Sakhloo and Ganjipora.

The drives were aimed at preventing the unchecked growth of wild cannabis and promoting a cleaner and healthier environment in the district.
