Governor approves nomination in recognition of humanitarian and social service
JAMMU / SHIMLA, Aug 14: In a significant recognition of dedicated service to humanity, Vinay Gupta, a prominent public figure from Jammu, Ex BJP District President Jammu and senior leader and BJP Prabhari Jammu North, has been nominated as a Special Invitee Member (Honorary)/Associate Member of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society, Shimla.
The nomination has been made with the kind approval of the Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh Kavinder Gupta and President of the H.P. State Red Cross Society in appreciation of Vinay Gupta’s long-standing contributions towards humanitarian causes, social welfare, and community service.
The Indian Red Cross Society, founded in 1920, is the largest humanitarian organization in the country and works tirelessly to alleviate human suffering through disaster response, health services, blood donation drives, and relief to the most vulnerable. The Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society has been at the forefront of such initiatives across the state, and the inclusion of committed individuals from across the region further strengthens its outreach.
Expressing gratitude for his nomination, Vinay Gupta said that serving humanity has always been the core purpose of his public life. He stated that the Red Cross principles of impartiality, neutrality, and voluntary service deeply inspire him. “This honor is not just for me but for every volunteer and karyakarta who works selflessly on the ground. I am committed to working in close coordination with the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society to expand its humanitarian activities, especially in the areas of disaster preparedness, health awareness, blood donation, and support to the underprivileged,” he said.
Vinay Gupta has been actively associated with various social and welfare initiatives in J&K. Over the years, he has been involved in organizing medical camps, relief distribution during natural calamities, awareness campaigns on health and hygiene, and initiatives aimed at social harmony and youth empowerment. His work has consistently focused on reaching the last person in society with dignity and compassion.
Welcoming the nomination for lifetime, special invitee member of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society said that Vinay Gupta’s experience in grassroots mobilization and commitment to public service will add great value to the society’s ongoing programs.
