DACHHAN, Aug 25: Nearly two years after construction began, an important bridge in Dachhan continues to remain incomplete, causing considerable inconvenience to residents of Dachhan and adjoining villages.
Local residents said the prolonged delay has affected connectivity and made daily movement difficult for people living in the area. Despite repeated assurances from contractors that the remaining work would be completed within a few days or within a short timeframe, the bridge is yet to be made fully operational.
Residents said the project could be completed within a short period if the construction work is carried out at the required pace and with proper supervision. They questioned why the concerned authorities and government departments have failed to ensure timely completion of the project despite the difficulties being faced by the public.
According to locals, the incomplete bridge has remained a long-standing concern for villagers, who have repeatedly sought intervention from the authorities. They urged the concerned departments to take immediate action, expedite the remaining construction work and announce a clear deadline for completion.
The residents said improved connectivity is essential for the socio-economic development of the area and demanded that the long-pending bridge be completed without any further delay.
The people of Dachhan have appealed to the administration to treat the matter as a priority and ensure that the project is completed at the earliest in the larger public interest.
