UDHAMPUR, Sep 3: Talla Jewellers, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is conducting the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign under Project MAKE (Make All Kids Educated) in collaboration with its implementing partner Live For Others – Being Helpful Foundation (LFO-BHF), with the support of the District Administration and education authorities. The initiative aims to create awareness among school students about the dangers of drug and substance abuse while encouraging healthy and positive choices.
As part of the campaign, awareness programmes were organised at Government City High School Boys, Udhampur, where 15 educational kits were distributed and 100 students were sensitised; Government Model Girls Higher Secondary School, Udhampur, where 15 educational kits were distributed and 400 students were sensitised; and Government Higher Secondary School, Panchari, where 20 educational kits were distributed and 250 students were sensitised. Collectively, 50 educational kits were distributed and 750 students were reached through these programmes.
Kashish Gupta, CEO, Talla Jewellers, said, “Through this initiative, we aim to empower young minds with awareness and education so that they can make informed choices and stay away from drugs. A drug-free future begins with creating awareness at the school level, and we are committed to supporting this cause through our CSR efforts.”
During the sessions, Vivek Parihar, Director & CEO, LFO-BHF, interacted with the students and sensitised them about the harmful physical, mental and social effects of drug and substance abuse. He urged students to focus on education, sports, healthy habits, discipline and positive activities. The initiative reflects the collective efforts of Talla Jewellers and LFO-BHF towards strengthening the message of “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir.”
Members present during the programmes included Aditya Singh, Kashish Katoch, Prashant, Parnav, Arun, Mannat, Ruhani and Parul, along with other volunteers and members of the campaign team.
