JAMMU, May 17: Shri Ram Sena (J&K) has strongly criticized the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to provide 24×7 electricity supply to the people of Jammu despite the installation of smart meters.
In the scorching summer heat, frequent and unscheduled power cuts are causing immense hardship to residents, particularly children, elderly people, and patients.
Shri Ram Sena (J&K) UT President Rajiv Mahajan said that the public was assured uninterrupted electricity supply after the installation of smart meters, but the ground reality is entirely different. He said consumers are facing severe inconvenience due to repeated outages during peak summer conditions.
Rajiv Mahajan demanded that the administration and the PDD Department immediately ensure regular and uninterrupted electricity supply across Jammu and stop harassing consumers with unscheduled power cuts during the extreme heat wave conditions.
