JAMMU, Sep 23: Shri Ram Sena (SRS) today celebrated the birth anniversary of the last Dogra ruler of Jammu and Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, paying rich tributes to his contribution towards the development and progress of the region.
SRS UT President Rajiv Mahajan, along with party leaders and workers, paid floral tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji and recalled his vision, administrative reforms and contribution towards education, social welfare and the upliftment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mahajan said Maharaja Hari Singh Ji remains an important figure in the history of Jammu and Kashmir and his contribution to the region should be remembered by the younger generation. He called upon people to follow the Maharaja’s ideals of social justice, education, public welfare and service to society.
The SRS leaders also highlighted the Maharaja’s efforts for the welfare of weaker sections and his progressive initiatives during his reign.
