JAMMU, Sep 1: School of teacher Jammu organized a comprehensive Induction-cum-Orientation Programme for the newly admitted integrated B.Ed-M.Ed students of the Session 2026-2029. The event aimed to provide students with a clear understanding of the academic framework, institutional values and various support systems available to them throughout their Three-year teacher training journey.
The session began with an inspiring address by the Dean Dr. Rajinder Kour, who welcomed the students and motivated them to pursue their academic and professional goals with passion and perseverance.
She also highlighted the significance of developing not only strong academic foundations but also essential professional skills, critical thinking, leadership qualities, and a sense of responsibility.
She motivated the students to actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities and to strive for excellence while maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism. Her words served as an encouraging and inspiring start to the orientation programme, instilling confidence and enthusiasm among the students.
Dr. Paramjeet Kour apprised the students through Presentation about the Integrated B.Ed. -M.Ed. course structure, outlining the curriculum, pedagogical practices, practicum components, and internship schedule and assessment methods. She also shared key insights into how students can make the most of their academic experience.
Further enriching the orientation, Dr. Isha Kumari, Dr. Reecha Jrall and Sunaina Gupta provided the students with a comprehensive overview of the subjects to be taught during the academic session.
They apprised the students of the scope, objectives, course content, and key areas covered under each subject.
The faculty also highlighted the relevance and practical significance of the respective subjects, enabling the students to gain a clear understanding of the academic expectations and learning outcomes associated with each course.
The interaction also provided an opportunity for the students to familiarise themselves with the curriculum, teaching methodology, and academic requirements of the various subjects.
The faculty encouraged the students to actively participate in classroom discussions, clarify their queries, and approach the subjects with a keen interest and inquisitive mindset.
In the concluding session, formal vote of thanks was presented by Imran Kour. The orientation programme concluded on a positive note, leaving the students well-informed, motivated, and better prepared for the academic journey ahead.
