JAMMU, May 31: Under the aegis of the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan, Unique Dancing Institute organized a grand inter-school dance competition, “Dance Ka Mahayudh 2026,” at Jammu Club, bringing together nearly 400 young participants from various schools across the region.
The event witnessed enthusiastic performances by children who showcased their dancing talent and creativity before a large audience. Participants were honored with awards and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances. Social activist and Chairman of Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, attended the programme as the chief guest, while Sunil Sharma, Director of Unique Dancing Institute, was also present. The proceedings of the event were conducted by renowned anchor Rohit Bains.
Addressing the gathering, Keshav Chopra praised the mass movement launched by the Lieutenant Governor-led administration against drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir. He commended the efforts of the administration and Jammu and Kashmir Police for taking strong action against drug peddlers and narco-terror networks, stating that their determined campaign has significantly strengthened the fight against the drug menace.
Emphasizing the importance of youth participation in constructive activities, Chopra extended the message of “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Talent.” He urged young people to channel their energy into art, culture, sports and other creative pursuits that contribute positively to society. He assured the youth of full support in their endeavors and reiterated Samvedna Society’s commitment to working closely with the administration and police to eliminate the menace of narcotics from Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, Sunil Sharma expressed gratitude to Keshav Chopra, participating schools, parents, supporters and stakeholders for their cooperation in making the event a grand success. He said that the institute remains dedicated to providing a positive platform for young talent and encouraging children to pursue their passions while staying away from social evils.
