JAMMU, Aug 7: Continuing his commitment towards strengthening public infrastructure and improving educational institutions across the Bahu Assembly Constituency, Hon’ble MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa today inaugurated the development of school land through the laying of interlocking tiles at Government High School, Channi Ramma (Ward No. 49). The work, executed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), was completed under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of the MLA and formally handed over to the school authorities.
The project fulfilled a long-pending demand of the school administration, students and local residents. The newly developed school premises will provide a cleaner, safer and more accessible environment for students and staff while significantly enhancing the overall infrastructure of the institution.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Bahu Mandal President Surjeet Singh, District General Secretary Kulveer Charak, party functionaries, local prominent residents and social workers including Faheem Taak.
The programme was also attended by Headmaster Shri Pradeep Khajuria, members of the teaching faculty, school staff and a large number of enthusiastic students. Officials of the Jammu Municipal Corporation, the concerned engineering staff and the executing contractor were also present on the occasion.
To mark the occasion, the students presented a vibrant cultural programme, showcasing their talent through patriotic and cultural performances. MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa appreciated the students for their confidence and dedication and congratulated the school administration for nurturing their talents alongside academics.
Addressing the gathering, Ch. Vikram Randhawa reiterated that the development of educational institutions remains one of his highest priorities. He said that quality infrastructure is essential for creating a positive learning environment and assured that every genuine demand related to schools and public welfare would continue to receive his full attention.
He stated that every rupee of his Constituency Development Fund is being utilised for projects that directly benefit the people and improve civic amenities. He further said that his vision is to ensure balanced development across all wards of the Bahu Assembly Constituency with special emphasis on education, roads, drainage, sanitation and other essential public infrastructure.
The local residents, school authorities and parents expressed their gratitude to MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa for fulfilling the long-awaited demand and for his consistent efforts towards the development of the constituency. They appreciated his people-centric approach and his commitment to improving public facilities through timely execution of developmental works.
