DODA, Jul 31: A warm farewell ceremony was organised by the Power Development Department (PDD)/Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) Doda to honour the retirement of former Executive Engineer and Superintending Engineer, Er Abdul Rouf Bhat, in recognition of his dedicated service and leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the PDD/JPDCL family highlighted Er Bhat’s contribution during his tenure as Executive Engineer, M&RE PDD Division Doda, from December 10, 2024, until his retirement. They noted that despite a relatively short tenure, he left a lasting impact on the department through his commitment, integrity and people-centric approach.
The speakers observed that Doda’s difficult terrain, harsh winters and frequent power faults posed significant challenges, but under Er. Bhat’s leadership, the department ensured timely restoration of electricity during adverse weather, responded promptly to emergency breakdowns and successfully executed various developmental works, including the Smart Meter Project.
Colleagues praised his field-oriented working style, saying he always led from the front and believed that a true officer is recognised not by designation but by responsiveness to public needs. His technical expertise, administrative discipline and approachable nature earned him the respect of both employees and the public, they added.
On behalf of the entire PDD/JPDCL Doda family, officials and staff expressed heartfelt gratitude for his years of dedicated public service. They wished Er Abdul Rouf Bhat good health, happiness and peace in his retired life, hoping that the next phase of his life would be filled with joy and quality time with his family.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of mementoes and best wishes from colleagues, who lauded his exemplary service and wished him success in all his future endeavours.
