NCC Cadets take center stage as Bhalra School Champions Integrity and Anti-Corruption Drive

BHADARWAH, Oct 24:  Emphasizing that the bedrock of a strong nation lies in moral fortitude, the NCC Wing of PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School Bhalra on Saturday hosted a vibrant Vigilance Awareness Programme aimed at steering youth towards transparency and ethical leadership.

Held under the aegis of the 10 JK Battalion NCC, Bhaderwah, the event drew enthusiastic participation from students, NCC cadets and faculty members alike reinforcing the timeless adage that the fight against corruption begins with individual accountability.

Addressing the gathering, Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul underscored that integrity is non-negotiable for national progress. He urged the young cadets to cultivate courage, sincerity and patriotism not just as uniform-bound virtues, but as lifelong guiding principles.

“A strong nation is built not merely through its achievements, but through the honesty, integrity and character of its citizens. The real strength of a cadet lies not only in discipline and courage, but also in the moral values that guide every action,” Dr. Koul told the attentive audience.

The interactive event gave young voices a platform to shine. NCC Cadets Wamika and Kush Kumar Sharma delivered compelling addresses on the imperatives of embedding honesty and responsibility into daily routines drawing applause for their articulate breakdown of civic duty.

Echoing the sentiment, School Principal Asha Balwal spotlighted the indispensable role educational institutions play in character building. She encouraged students to unswervingly tread the path of truth and righteousness noting that today’s morally upright students are tomorrow’s nation-builders.

A poignant highlight of the day was the administration of the official Vigilance Awareness Pledge led by Dr. Koul. Faculty members and cadets solemnly swore to uphold transparency, reject corrupt practices in all walks of life and discharge their duties with uncompromising dedication.

Organizers noted that the event transcended a routine formality sending out a resounding message that vigilance is a continuous, everyday’s commitment rather than a calendar bound observance.

The programme concluded on a high note reaffirming institutional dedication to churning out conscientious citizens committed to a corruption free society.
