DODA, Jun 1: The annual Mindhal Yatra was ceremonially flagged off from the historic Maa Chandi Mata Temple amid religious fervour and devotion. The pilgrimage has been organized by Aadi Shakti Devi Chandike Sewak Sanstha.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by Dhananter Singh Kotwal, Chairman, District Development Council (DDC), Doda, Sangeeta Bhagat, Vice Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC), Doda, Wing Commander Tirath Singh, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Doda, and Anil Kotwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Doda.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted the spiritual, cultural and social significance of the yatra and appreciated the efforts of ASDCSS in preserving the region’s rich religious heritage. They extended their best wishes to the pilgrims for a safe and spiritually enriching journey.
The pilgrimage is being conducted under the guidance of Pyar Singh, Chief Patron, and Prof. D. S. Manhas, President, ASDCSS. A large number of devotees from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the yatra.
According to the itinerary, the pilgrims will travel towards the revered Mindhal Mata Temple, with a night halt at Gouri Shankar Temple. The six-day pilgrimage, scheduled from June 1 to 6, will cover several important religious sites along the route.
The organizers expressed gratitude to devotees, volunteers, local administration and all stakeholders for their support in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the yatra.
