JAMMU, Sep 20: Mahika Sharma, a student of Class XII-G at Delhi Public School, Jammu, brought laurels to the school and her parents by winning a Gold Medal in the Under-19 Girls Weightlifting Competition at the Inter-District UT Level Wushu and Weightlifting Competition.
The championship was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Samba, and was held from September 15 to 29, 2026, at the Indoor Stadium, Samba.
Displaying remarkable strength, determination and sporting spirit, Mahika emerged victorious in the prestigious competition and made her school proud with her outstanding performance.
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, under the guidance of Ajatshatru Singh (President-RCT), Dr. Ritu Singh (Pro-Vice Chairperson), and S.S. Sodhi (Director), along with Ruchi Chabra (Principal) and staff, congratulated Mahika and her parents on this remarkable achievement.
