AKHNOOR, Aug 2: A large gathering of devotees assembled at Akhnoor on Sunday to listen to the spiritual discourse of Sadguru Shri Madhuparamhans Ji Maharaj of Sahib Bandgi, who delivered a sermon emphasizing the eternal nature of the Soul and its significance in human life.
Addressing the congregation, the spiritual leader explained that while the human body is temporary and perishable, the Soul is eternal, indestructible and the true identity of every individual. Drawing an analogy with metals, he said that just as gold is considered the most precious because it does not decay, the Soul is even more unique because it is beyond the five material elements and is neither created nor destroyed.
He said the essence of all spiritual teachings is the realization that “you are the Soul.” He further explained that the Soul has no gender, form or material composition and remains unaffected by the forces of nature. Referring to Vedic philosophy, he stated that the scriptures describe the Supreme Reality as beyond the grasp of the material world and that the Soul originates from that eternal realm.
During the discourse, Sadguru Ji spoke about Kabir Sahib, describing Him as a divine messenger who came from the Eternal Realm for the welfare of humanity. He said Kabir Sahib spread the message of truth, equality and devotion despite facing opposition and false propaganda. He also highlighted that several eminent personalities, including King Bir Singh Baghel of Kashi, Nawab Bijli Khan Pathan of Awadh and renowned scholar Sarvadanand, became disciples of Kabir Sahib.
Speaking on the relationship between science and spirituality, Sadguru Ji said genuine scientific inquiry ultimately leads to the recognition of a higher divine power. He urged devotees to look beyond the material world and focus on self-realization, inner purity and devotion.
The discourse concluded with prayers for universal peace, harmony and the spiritual upliftment of all humanity.
