Madhu Paramhans delivers spiritual discourse on 628th Birth Anniversary of Kabir Sahib

JAMMU, Jun 28: Thousands of devotees from across India and abroad gathered at Ranjri, Jammu, on Saturday to commemorate the 628th birth anniversary of Kabir Sahib, where Sadguru Shri Madhu Paramhans Ji Maharaj delivered a spiritual discourse highlighting the significance of the divine Naam (Holy Name) and the path to self-realization and liberation.

Addressing the congregation, Sadguru Shri Madhu Paramhans Ji Maharaj said that although the world is filled with suffering, true happiness can only be attained by those who receive the divine Naam from a true Saint-Sadguru. He described the Naam as unique, supreme, and beyond ordinary words, stating that while many people chant different names of God, the true Naam spoken of by saints remains a divine secret known only to realized spiritual masters.

Paying rich tributes to Kabir Sahib, Maharaj said that Kabir Sahib was not merely a saint but the very source of all saints who brought the true Naam into the world. He explained that countless names exist in the world, but liberation cannot be attained through them alone. The true Naam, he said, cannot be spoken, written, or intellectually understood; it can only be bestowed by a genuine Saint.

During his discourse, Maharaj emphasized that the highest bliss is Atmanand—the bliss of the soul. Referring to various philosophical traditions, he observed that while many schools of thought describe the soul as supreme, the fact that the soul remains bound by worldly existence indicates that it is only a part of a higher, Almighty Supreme Being. He noted that saints have referred to this Supreme Lord as Sahib, the eternal source from whom all souls originate.

Explaining the nature of the soul, Maharaj said that the soul is pure consciousness and remains untouched by actions (karma). According to him, all actions are performed through the body’s senses and the faculties of the mind, while the soul itself transcends these. However, due to its identification with the physical body and entanglement in Maya (illusion), the soul experiences bondage and suffering.

He further stated that no soul can free itself solely through its own efforts, as only the Almighty possesses the power to liberate it. Saints descend from the eternal spiritual realm carrying the divine message and the power of the true Naam, enabling seekers to transcend worldly attachments and ultimately reunite with the Supreme Lord.

The spiritual gathering concluded with prayers, devotional hymns, and blessings, as devotees expressed deep reverence for the teachings of Kabir Sahib and the message delivered by Sadguru Shri Madhu Paramhans Ji Maharaj, reaffirming their commitment to the path of spirituality and self-realization.
