REASI, May 17: Continuing its drive to maintain peace and public safety, District Police Reasi conducted intensified naka checking and patrolling under the supervision of Mukund Tibrewal, SSP Reasi.
During a naka laid by Police Station Katra at Nangal Road, Katra, police intercepted a grey Maruti Eeco vehicle bearing registration number JK20C-1653 for inspection. During the search, police recovered a sharp-edged toka (machete) from the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Chain Singh, son of Krishan Dass, resident of Charala Kot, Reasi. The co-passengers were identified as Bablu Sharma, son of Des Raj Sharma, resident of Jadd, Akhnoor, and Mukesh Kumar, son of Shankar Dass, resident near Railway Station, Katra.
In this connection, FIR No. 149/2026 under Section 4/25 of the Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigation has been initiated.
The operation was led by Ranjeet Singh Rao, SHO Police Station Katra, under the supervision of Bhishm Dubey, SDPO Katra, and Kameshwar Puri, SP Katra.
District Police Reasi reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and taking strict action against unlawful activities in the district.
