Hindu faith cannot be trampled upon: Shiv Sena warns Pakistan

JAMMU, Sep 1: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu & Kashmir President Manish Sahni has strongly condemned the demolition of an ancient Hindu temple in Siraj village of Narowal district, Punjab, Pakistan.

He said repeated attacks on minority religious sites expose Pakistan’s extremist mindset and failure to protect minorities.

Sahni cited reports that in 2023, 193 cases of religious persecution against non-Muslims and over 60 attacks on non-Muslim religious sites were recorded.

“Demolishing temples cannot erase Hindu faith or thousands of years of heritage,” he said, demanding an impartial probe, immediate arrests and reconstruction of the temple. He warned Pakistan to stop targeting Hindu religious places.
