JAMMU, Sep 4: The sacred premises of Vaishno Mata Mandir at Bhagwati Nagar reverberated with devotional fervour as Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious spirit under the guidance of Mahant Shri Lucky Baba.
The celebrations witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees, who gathered from the wee hours at the temple to offer prayers and seek blessings of Bhagwan Krishna. The atmosphere remained spiritually charged throughout the programme, with devotional bhajans, religious hymns and chants of Bhagwan Krishna filling the air.
Special prayers and rituals were performed on the auspicious occasion, while the temple premises were beautifully decorated to mark the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Krishna.
Devotees observed the festival with traditional religious fervour and participated in the various activities organised at the temple.
Mahant Shri Lucky Baba extended Janmashtami greetings to the devotees and highlighted the spiritual significance of the festival. Mahant Shri Lucky Baba expressed his heartfelt welcome to all devotees and spiritual seekers, inviting them to be part of this divine celebration.
He said that the teachings of Bhagwan Krishna continue to guide humanity towards the path of righteousness, truth, compassion and selfless action.
He called upon people, particularly the younger generation, to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Bhagwan Krishna and contribute towards creating a peaceful and harmonious society.
The celebrations also provided an opportunity for devotees and members of the local community to come together and celebrate the festival with collective faith and devotion.
Special arrangements were made at the temple to facilitate the devotees and ensure the smooth conduct of the religious programme.
The event concluded at night amid chants of “Hare Krishna” and “Jai Shri Krishna”.
The celebration concluded with Prasad distribution by Mahant Shri Lucky Baba, who personally served Prasad to the devotees. The devotees received the sacred Prasad with reverence and gratitude, marking the conclusion of the Janmashtami celebrations on a spiritually uplifting note.
