JAMMU, Sep 3: The NSS Units of GGM Science College, Jammu, organized an informative workshop on the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) with the objective of creating awareness about digital healthcare and training students to become “Digital Health Warriors.” The workshop provided students with practical training on creating and operating ABHA accounts and understanding the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
The programme was organized under the guidance of the worthy Principal, Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta.
Addressing the students, Dr. Gupta highlighted the transformative role of digital technologies in the healthcare sector and emphasized the importance of maintaining digital health records. He encouraged students to embrace digital health initiatives and act as ambassadors of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in their communities. He further stated that the youth can play a pivotal role in promoting digital literacy and ensuring greater public participation in government health programmes.
The workshop was conducted by resource persons Preeti Rajput and Nishant from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Office, Jammu. The trainers provided step-by-step guidance on the creation of ABHA accounts, linking health records, and accessing digital healthcare services. Through live demonstrations and interactive sessions, students gained hands-on experience in operating the ABHA platform and understanding its utility in ensuring seamless and secure access to health information.
The NSS Programme Officers, Dr. Shalini Sharma and Dr. Amit Bali, appreciated the efforts of the resource persons and motivated the students to make effective use of digital health tools. They emphasized that the knowledge gained during the workshop would enable students to assist family members and members of the community in creating and managing their ABHA accounts.
A large number of students participated enthusiastically in the workshop and actively interacted with the trainers during the question-and-answer session. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, and the participants pledged to spread awareness about digital health services and contribute towards building a digitally empowered and healthier society.
