JAMMU, Jun 16: In a moment of pride for Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College, Jammu, Suneel Singh Barheyan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, has been declared qualified for the award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry by RIMT University, Punjab.
Barheyan successfully defended his doctoral thesis titled “Physicochemical Analysis and Purification of Drinking Water from Bowlis (Natural Springs) of District Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir (UT), India” during the Final Viva-Voce Examination held on June 5, 2026.
The research work was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Hari Singh and Dr. Satish Kumar. The study focuses on the scientific assessment and purification of natural spring water sources (Bowlis) in Udhampur district, contributing valuable insights towards water quality management and public health.
