JAMMU, Sep 10: Principal, Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College Jammu, Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, today met Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Director Colleges, Higher Education Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, on her arrival at the Jammu office after assuming charge as Director Colleges.
Prof. Gupta conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to Prof. Suri on her new assignment and assured her of the full cooperation of GGM Science College in implementing the priorities and initiatives of the Higher Education Department.
During the meeting, Prof. Gupta briefed the Director Colleges about the academic and developmental progress of GGM Science College and added that GGM Science College, as a prominent constituent college of Cluster University of Jammu, remains committed to academic excellence and to providing students with a modern, inclusive and student-centric learning environment.
Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri appreciated that the effective implementation of NEP 2020 requires close coordination between colleges and the Higher Education Department. She also encouraged institutions to adopt innovative practices that enhance students’ employability, entrepreneurship and overall personality development. The Director Colleges assured that genuine academic and administrative issues of colleges would be given due consideration and emphasised collective efforts to further strengthen the higher education system in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Principal was accompanied by Dr. Parshotam Thakur, Dr. Ashaq Hussain and Dr. Mohammad Maqeem Ansari. The interaction concluded on a positive note, with both sides reiterating their commitment to strengthening higher education and creating better academic opportunities for students across Jammu and Kashmir.
