RS PURA, Aug 14: Government Degree College (GDC) R.S. Pura organised a screening of a short film based on the theme of patriotism under the banner of “HarGharTiranga” and “150 Years of VandeMataram – Phase III” under the patronage of principal Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour. The programme was organised by the Dr. Jasmeet Kour, Convener Cultural Committee and members with the objective of fostering patriotism, national pride, and awareness among students about the rich spirit of India’s national heritage.
The programme commenced with a screening of the short film highlighting the values of love for the nation, unity, sacrifice, courage, and responsible citizenship, leaving a meaningful message for the audience.
The Principal appreciated the efforts of the Cultural Committee and the students involved in the making and screening of the film. She emphasised the importance of engaging young minds in activities that strengthen their connection with the nation and its cultural heritage.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The screening provided an engaging platform for students to express their creativity while conveying a strong message of patriotism and national unity.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support and guidance of the Principal, faculty members, the Cultural Committee, and all audience who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
