RAMNAGAR, Aug 20: As part of the Udyam Jagriti 5.0 Campaign under Mission YUVA, an awareness and entrepreneurship programme was organised at Government Degree College, Ramnagar, with the participation of 143 students.
The programme aimed to sensitise students about the Neo-Innovative Challenge, Hackathon and various entrepreneurship competitions being launched under Mission YUVA. The session encouraged students to think creatively, develop innovative ideas and explore entrepreneurship and self-employment as viable career opportunities.
An inspiring entrepreneurial talk was delivered by Vishal Sharma, Nandara Naturals & Farms Pvt. Ltd., an entrepreneur from the agro-industry sector. He shared his entrepreneurial journey, experiences and practical insights, motivating students to identify opportunities, overcome challenges and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
Addressing the students, Principal Prof. Daljeet Singh Manhas appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of nurturing innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial skills among young people. He encouraged students to actively participate in the competitions and challenges under Mission YUVA and make use of the opportunities available to transform their ideas into sustainable ventures. He further stressed that entrepreneurship and self-employment can play an important role in building confidence, generating employment and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
The awareness session was conducted by Paras Dubey, SBDU Coordinator, with the support of Sarabjeet, BHD Member. The programme was coordinated with the active participation of Prof. Parminder Kumar, IIC Coordinator, and Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Placement Coordinator.
The programme was organised by the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), Career Counselling and Placement Cell, and Mission YUVA Committee, in collaboration with the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC).
The organising team comprised Prof. Parminder Kumar (Convenor, IIC), Dr. Pankaj Sharma (Convenor, Career Counselling and Placement Cell, and Mission YUVA Committee), Dr. Rakesh Kumar Pandit, Dr. Puyesh Kant Sharma, Prof. Sonia Raj, Prof. Anice Ahmed, Prof. Sanjay Malhotra, Prof. Tanmeet Kour, and Prof. Pankaj Dabgotra.
The event was held under the guidance of Principal Prof. Daljeet Singh Manhas and in the presence and support of Assistant Director Employment, Priyanka Gupta. The programme concluded with an appeal to students to actively engage with the various Mission YUVA initiatives and contribute towards fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
