GDC Ramban organises live streaming of PM’s address on launch of  Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan

RAMBAN, Aug 2: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramban organised a  grand event to mark the launch of Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan.

In the event a large gathering of students from college NSS, NCC and others participated with great enthusiasm and dedication.

The event started with the address of Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, Principal of the College, highlighted the objectives of the  programme and acquainted the students with the salient features of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan.

The Nasha Mukt pledge was organised and administered by Prof Ram Prakash, reaffirming the collective commitment of students and syaff towards building a drug-free society.      

Ravinder Kichloo senior journalist delivered an insightful lecture on the ill effects of drug abuse. He sensitised students about the physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse and urged them to stay away from such harmful practices.

He also appealed to parents to devote quality time to their children, emphasising that drug abuse not only destroys individual lives but also poses a serious threat to society and the nation.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr Mukhtar Ahmad Mir NSS programe officer, who expressed his gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, students, and all participants for their enthusiastic presence and support.

He appreciated the active involvement of students in the programme and expressed hope that such initiatives would continue to strengthen the bond between the institution, students, and their families while promoting awareness and holistic development.
