KATRA, Aug 31: Government Degree College (GDC) Katra organised an awareness programme on smart investment for students today under the patronage of Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat. The event was held in collaboration with WX Consultant Pvt. Ltd., the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE).
The programme began with a welcome note by Dr. Sajaad Iqbal Khan, Convener of the Career Counselling Cell, who highlighted the importance of financial literacy for students. He stressed how the session would help enhance students’ skills and enable them to make informed, safe investment decisions.
The main keynote presentation was delivered by Annup Mundada. He outlined various investment opportunities, including mutual funds, the stock market, and gold, and explained the platforms available for smart investing. Mundada also discussed cyber-fraud risks and practical measures to invest safely. He described SEBI’s ongoing efforts to develop tools and safeguards to protect investors from fraudsters.
The programme concluded with student feedback, followed by a vote of thanks presented by Dr. Usha Sharma.
