Gadigarh residents applaud Modi Govt’s 12-year development journey

JAMMU, Jun 10: A meeting of prominent residents of Gadigarh, Ward No. 73, Jammu, was held under the chairmanship of Inderjeet Sharma, Deputy Director Prosecution (Retd.) and Co-Convener, J&K UT BJP Refugee Cell, to celebrate the completion of twelve remarkable years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership at the helm of the nation.

The participants of the meeting wholeheartedly congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming one of the longest-serving Prime Ministers of independent India and the longest-serving Prime Minister from a non-Congress political party. They lauded his visionary leadership, unwavering commitment to national development, and transformative governance that has elevated India’s stature on the global stage.

Addressing the gathering, Inderjeet Sharma said that the last twelve years have witnessed unprecedented growth, development, and reforms across various sectors. He stated that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has emerged as a strong, self-reliant, and globally respected nation. He highlighted landmark initiatives including infrastructure expansion, digital transformation, welfare schemes for the poor, strengthening of national security, economic reforms, and empowerment of marginalized sections of society.

Sharma observed that Prime Minister Modi’s governance model has brought transparency, accountability, and efficiency to public administration while ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. He said that the government’s commitment to the principles of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” has accelerated inclusive growth and strengthened national unity.

During the meeting, Sharma also highlighted the historic progress achieved in the infrastructure sector, particularly the near completion of the Zojila Tunnel Project, describing it as one of the greatest engineering marvels of modern India. He said the strategically significant tunnel will provide all-weather and year-round connectivity between Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, overcoming the challenges posed by heavy snowfall and adverse weather conditions that often cut off the region for several months.

He stated that the Zojila Tunnel will revolutionize transportation and communication in the region, significantly reducing travel time and ensuring uninterrupted movement of people, goods, and essential services. The project, he said, will open new avenues for tourism, trade, investment, and employment generation while giving a major boost to the socio-economic development of both Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Emphasizing its strategic importance, Sharma noted that the tunnel will greatly strengthen the country’s defence preparedness by facilitating faster movement of troops, equipment, and supplies to border areas. He termed the project a shining example of Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to strengthening national security while simultaneously promoting development in remote and border regions.

The participants expressed satisfaction over the pace of developmental works being undertaken across the country and appreciated the Central Government’s efforts in transforming infrastructure, improving connectivity, and enhancing the quality of life of citizens. They described the Modi Government’s twelve-year journey as a period of decisive leadership, bold reforms, and historic achievements.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution appreciating the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressing confidence that India will continue its march towards becoming a developed and prosperous nation under his guidance. The participants also reiterated their commitment to spreading awareness about the achievements and welfare initiatives of the Central Government among the masses.
