Free health check-up camp organised for NCC Cadets at CATC-J4 Nagrota

NAGROTA, May 16: A free Health Check-Up Camp was organised for NCC Cadets at Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) – J4 Nagrota by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital in collaboration with Mission Shakti during the camp being conducted by 4 J&K BN NCC Jammu at NCC Training Academy Nagrota.

The initiative aimed at promoting health awareness and ensuring the well-being of NCC Cadets through comprehensive medical consultations and screenings.

The medical team comprised Dr. Rohit Sharma, Junior Consultant Orthopedics, Dr. Malvika Sharma, Ophthalmologist, and Dr. Ashwini Kumar, Senior Consultant, General Medicine.

During the camp, the doctors carried out general health examinations of the cadets, including blood pressure check-ups, BMI assessments, vision screening, and other necessary medical consultations.

The healthcare professionals also interacted with the cadets and provided valuable guidance on personal hygiene, the importance of physical fitness, preventive healthcare, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Shagun Manchanda, District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti District Hub, was also present during the camp and highlighted the significance of regular health check-ups and youth wellness initiatives. The camp aimed to spread awareness regarding health and fitness among the cadets while ensuring their overall well-being.

Camp Commandant Col Kuldeep Kachru and the staff of 4 J&K BN NCC Jammu appreciated the support and dedicated services rendered by the medical team of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital and the coordinator of Mission Shakti District Hub for successfully conducting the health camp.
