JAMMU, Aug 9: A physiotherapy and health camp was organised at Gurudwara Tali Sahib, Talab Tillo, under the initiative of Harpreet Kour, President of Gurudwara Tali Sahib. The camp was conducted by Dr. Aadhunik Gupta, BPT, MIAP, of Aadhunik Physiotherapy Clinic, with the objective of providing accessible physiotherapy consultation and treatment guidance to local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Aadhunik Gupta said that the purpose of organising such camp was to make people aware of the importance of timely physiotherapy and proper rehabilitation. He said many people continue to ignore persistent pain and mobility-related problems until they become severe.
“Early assessment and appropriate physiotherapy can help patients manage pain, improve mobility and prevent many conditions from becoming chronic,” he said.
Dr. Gupta further explained that physiotherapy plays an important role in the management and rehabilitation of several musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
“Our clinic near Ravidas Temple, Krishna Nagar provides therapy for conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, cervical spondylosis, hemiplegia, paraplegia, paralysis, Bell’s palsy, back pain and sciatica,” he informed and also stressed the importance of personalised treatment rather than relying on self-medication or delaying professional consultation.
The camp provided residents an opportunity to seek professional advice regarding pain, movement difficulties and other physical problems. The organisers also created awareness about rehabilitation, pain management and maintaining physical mobility.
Harpreet Kour, President of Gurudwara Tali Sahib, said that healthcare initiatives at the community level can greatly benefit people, particularly those who may otherwise delay seeking professional advice. She appreciated Dr. Gupta and his team for conducting the camp and expressed hope that similar welfare-oriented initiatives would continue.
The camp also highlighted additional wellness services available at Aadhunik Physiotherapy Clinic, including slimming and relaxation-related facilities. Residents and members of the Sikh community appreciated the initiative and the efforts to bring healthcare guidance closer to the community.
