JAMMU, May 12: Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur organized “Yashasvi Bhava” — a grand Benediction Ceremony to acknowledge and honour the outstanding academic achievements of the Class X students in the CBSE Board Examination.
The ceremony was organized to celebrate the remarkable success of the students who brought laurels to the school through their exceptional performance in the CBSE Class X Board Examination.
It was indeed a moment of immense pride for the school and all its stakeholders as DPS Udhampur achieved a phenomenal 100% result, adding yet another feather to the crown of the institution.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sandeep Bhat. The event was also graced by the esteemed presence of the worthy Managing Director of the School, Vivek Gupta, Director Academics, Sucheta Gupta, and Principal of the School, Dr. Kunal Anand.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address followed by the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp amidst the enchanting chanting of sacred mantras. A mesmerizing cultural extravaganza presented by the students of DPS Udhampur added vibrance and grace to the occasion and was highly appreciated by the Chief Guest and the audience alike.
Vice Principal of DPS Udhampur, Bhanvi Sharma, highlighted the glorious achievements of the students in the CBSE Board Examination. In her report, she proudly announced that the school had secured a 100% result and also produced the District Toppers of Udhampur.
Devasya Sharma and. Sargam Mahajan, both securing an outstanding 98%, emerged as the Topper in the District & school. The school further celebrated the achievement of 46 students who secured above 95% marks in the examination. Students also achieved perfect scores of 100/100 in subjects including Social Science, Mathematics, and Information Technology.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of the prestigious “Dr. Lalita Memorial Scholarship Scheme”, instituted with the noble vision of encouraging academic brilliance and supporting deserving students in their pursuit of excellence. The scholarship scheme stands as a tribute to the values of dedication, perseverance, and commitment towards education, inspiring students to strive for greater heights.
The Dr. Lalita Memorial Scholarship Scheme has become a proud tradition of DPS Udhampur, recognizing meritorious students and motivating them to continue their academic journey with confidence and determination. Under this initiative, outstanding performers are granted scholarships for their further studies in the school, thereby nurturing talent and rewarding consistent hard work.
Continuing this rich legacy, this year Devasya Sharma and Sargam Mahajan were honoured with the Dr. Lalita Memorial Scholarship Award and were granted 100% scholarship for their future studies. The scholarships were presented through the benign hands of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries amidst thunderous applause from the audience.
Other recipients of the Dr. Lalita Memorial Scholarships included Arnav Gupta, Sana Manzoor, Saket Choudhary, Adhira Gupta, Alishbha Aftab, Anirudh Singh, Sachi, Charmik, Aradhya Singh, and Krishang Mahajan.
The star subject performers who scored a perfect 100/100 were awarded with Dr. Lalita Memorial Academic Excellence Gold Medal.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Sandeep Bhat emphasized that winning and losing are secondary, while participation and continuous effort truly matter. He remarked that India produces some of the best human resources in the world owing to the hard work and dedication of its people. He further stated that schools play a pivotal role in nurturing the right aptitude and direction among students, and DPSites are fortunate to receive guidance from some of the finest educators of the district.
