JAMMU, Aug 20: The Archery Association of Jammu Kashmir is set to organise the District Archery Championships for Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Doda, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban and Udhampur districts at MA Stadium, Jammu, from August 24 to 26, 2026.

The championship is being organised by the Archery Association of Jammu Kashmir under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, with the event being conducted under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council.

The three-day championship will provide young archers from different districts an opportunity to showcase their talent and compete at the district level. The organisers said the event also aims to promote sports participation among youth and encourage them towards healthy and constructive activities.

All eligible participants have been asked to report to Balram Singh for registration and related formalities. Participants are required to carry their entry form, Aadhaar card and proof of date of birth.

The organisers expressed hope that the championship would witness enthusiastic participation from archers across the eight districts and contribute to the promotion of archery and a drug-free sporting culture among youth.
