JAMMU, May 13: President Mission Statehood, Sunil Dimple on Wednesday staged a protest along with parents and students at Rehari Chungi in Jammu against the National Testing Agency’s handling of the NEET examination conducted on May 3, 2026.
Addressing the protest, Sunil Dimple questioned why the NTA and the Union Government failed to prevent alleged paper leaks before conducting the examination. He alleged that the agency was “playing with the careers and future of lakhs of students” who had worked hard for months and years to prepare for the highly competitive examination.
Dimple said the repeated controversies surrounding recruitment and examination processes have created frustration among educated youth. Referring to civil services examinations, he alleged that UPSC-related examinations are frequently postponed, forcing aspirants to wait for long periods.
Highlighting unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir, Dimple said the situation has become alarming while the government remains “in deep slumber.” He alleged that several recruitment processes in Jammu and Kashmir have been stalled for years.
He claimed that recruitment for posts such as Police Sub-Inspectors and Naib Tehsildars has not progressed despite applications having been submitted in April 2024. According to him, no written examinations or interviews have been conducted even after two years.
Criticising the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board and the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, Dimple alleged that delays in recruitment have contributed to rising unemployment among educated youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
He demanded that all vacant government posts be filled immediately and warned that a larger agitation would be launched if the recruitment process for Police Sub-Inspectors and Naib Tehsildars was not started soon.
Dimple also urged the Chief Minister to regularise daily wagers, seasonal teachers, vocational trainers, SPOs, Rehbar-e-Khel teachers, Anganwadi workers, paramedical staff and several other categories of temporary employees.
Among those present in the protest were Narinder Chowdhery, Baba Gupta, Roky Kapoor, Happy Kumar, Suny, Sanjeev and Ashok Sharma along with several students and parents.
