KISHTWAR, Jun  9: National Conference Senior leader and Chenab Valley Region Spokesperson Ajeet Bhagat has demanded an inquiry into the breach of agreement by Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPP) in which there is a large-scale scam in the use of substandard materials in hydroelectric power projects and backdoor appointments.

The National Conference leader said that the problem of increasing unemployment of the youth of Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban districts of Chenab Valley region is increasing. The National Conference leader said that it would not be out of place to mention here that at one time i.e. till 2014, a large number of youth were engaged in Dool Hasti Hydroelectric Power Project and Baglihar Power Project.

Bhagat said that now we have four major hydroelectric power projects in the Chenab Valley zone namely Pakal Dool, Kiru, Kawar and Rattle projects where  reputed companies are working on these projects but it is a matter of great concern that there is unrest among the unemployed youth because the companies involved in these projects have deployed less manpower in these projects.

The National Conference leader said that the reason for this is that the companies management Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPP) wants to earn maximum profit by deploying less manpower, similarly the principal employer of these projects i.e. Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPP) is getting huge commission from the management of these projects, so that they can be stopped in a wrong way.
