Braham Jyot meets visually impaired children in Roop Nagar

JAMMU, Oct 1: Under the ‘Seva, Mera Yogdan’ campaign, BJP OBC Morcha Jammu and Kashmir State President Braham Jyot Satti visited a school for visually impaired children at Roop Nagar and spent time interacting with the students.

During the visit, Satti interacted with the children, enquired about their studies, classes and daily routine, and listened to their experiences. Fruits and other eatables were also distributed among the students on the occasion.

Satti was accompanied by State Secretary Ashok Salgotra, State Executive Member Manohar Babbar and other party workers. He also enquired about the facilities available at the school and asked the students about any difficulties they might be facing. The children shared their experiences and spoke about the care and support provided by the school staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Satti said that spending time with the visually impaired children was a meaningful experience. He said their confidence, determination and interest in education demonstrated their ability to overcome challenges.

“Spending time with these children makes us realise that real strength is not only in the eyes but in the courage and determination of a person. Their smile, confidence and interest in learning are inspiring. If children are given proper opportunities, resources and affection, they can achieve a lot. What they need is not sympathy, but respect, equal opportunities and a supportive environment,” he said.

Satti thanked Superintendent Adil Rashid for his cooperation and appreciated the efforts of Educator Palak Sharma for looking after the children and supporting them in their day-to-day activities.

The students told the visiting team that they were receiving good care at the school and that the staff treated them with affection and respect. The interaction remained informal and cordial, with Satti spending considerable time with the children and sharing moments of warmth and happiness.

The visit concluded with an emphasis on the importance of providing children with disabilities equal opportunities, dignity, education and a supportive environment to help them realise their potential.
