JAMMU, Sep 15: The BJP OBC Morcha, J&K, on Tuesday presented 50,000 diyas (earthen lamps) to BJP J&K President and Rajya Sabha Member Sat Sharma CA as part of the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme being organised to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17.
The diyas were presented by Braham Jyot Satti, State President, BJP OBC Morcha J&K, along with the office-bearers of the Morcha. The initiative marks the first programme of the OBC Morcha J&K under the campaign, which has been conceived to seek blessings and good wishes for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health.
On the occasion, BJP OBC Morcha J&K conveyed its greetings and best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and prayed for his continued good health and strength to serve the nation. Morcha leaders said the Prime Minister’s leadership had inspired millions and described the initiative as an expression of affection, respect and goodwill.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma appreciated the BJP OBC Morcha for organising the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ initiative and presenting 50,000 diyas as part of the birthday celebrations.
Sat Sharma said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a new direction to the country through the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”, with particular emphasis on the empowerment of weaker and marginalised sections.
He said the OBC community had received greater recognition, opportunities and representation under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He added that the Prime Minister’s birthday should also serve as an occasion for party workers and citizens to reaffirm their commitment to nation-building and public service.
Sat Sharma appreciated the dedication of OBC Morcha workers and said initiatives such as ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ help strengthen the bond between the organisation, its workers and the people. He conveyed his best wishes to Prime Minister Modi and expressed hope that he would continue to lead the country with vision, energy and dedication.
Braham Jyot Satti said the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme was a humble initiative of the OBC Morcha to express the affection, respect and blessings of the people of Jammu and Kashmir towards the Prime Minister on his birthday.
He said the presentation of 50,000 diyas marked the beginning of the campaign in Jammu and Kashmir, with each diya symbolising prayers and blessings for the Prime Minister’s long life, good health and continued success in serving the nation.
Satti further said that the OBC community had witnessed a greater sense of empowerment and dignity under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He highlighted the government’s focus on inclusive development, social justice and opportunities for weaker sections and said the OBC Morcha would continue its grassroots efforts to take the message of development and public welfare to all sections of society.
