BJP OBC Morcha organises Dental Check-up Camp in Jammu North

JAMMU, Aug 23: The BJP OBC Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir, organised a dental check-up camp at Trimurti Mandir, Janipur Colony, Jammu North, with the aim of promoting oral health awareness and encouraging preventive healthcare among local residents.

The camp witnessed participation from people of the area, who availed themselves of dental examination and consultation facilities. The initiative focused on creating awareness about the importance of regular dental check-ups, proper oral hygiene and timely prevention of common dental problems.

The dental check-up was conducted by Dr. Gautam Sharma, Former President, Indian Dental Association, Jammu, who examined the participants and provided guidance on oral hygiene, dental care and preventive measures. He also interacted with residents and addressed their concerns related to dental health.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gautam Sharma emphasised that maintaining proper oral hygiene is essential for overall well-being. He advised people to brush their teeth twice a day, follow regular oral hygiene practices and avoid excessive consumption of soft, sticky and sugary foods, which can increase the risk of tooth decay and other dental problems. He also stressed the importance of regular dental examinations for early detection and treatment.

Braham Jyot Satti, President, BJP OBC Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir, appreciated the medical team and organisers for conducting the camp. He said that serving society remains one of the key priorities of the OBC Morcha and that preventive healthcare and health awareness are as important as treatment.

Satti said that such camps help bring basic healthcare services and expert advice closer to the people. He added that the BJP OBC Morcha would continue organising public-oriented initiatives focused on health, social welfare and community awareness across Jammu & Kashmir.

He further stressed the need to pay greater attention to dental health, which is often neglected until a serious problem develops. He particularly encouraged children and senior citizens to undergo regular dental check-ups and maintain healthy oral hygiene habits. He also appreciated Dr. Gautam Sharma for voluntarily providing professional services for the benefit of the public.

Among those present were Sunita Gupta, Ex-Corporator, Ward 37; Ashok Salgotra, State Secretary, BJP OBC Morcha; Manohar Lal Babbar, State Executive Member, BJP OBC Morcha; Vikas Singh, District Vice-President, BJP OBC Morcha, Jammu North; and Pankaj Gupta, Senior BJP Leader, besides local residents and OBC Morcha workers.

The camp was organised by Abhimanyu Arora, who highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare and urged people to make regular health check-ups an integral part of their routine.

As part of the initiative, Omnident toothpaste samples were provided by Group Pharmaceutical Ltd. to the participants, further reinforcing the message of maintaining proper oral hygiene and adopting regular dental care practices.
