JAMMU/BARAMULLA, Jun 6: BJP OBC Morcha organised cleanliness and plantation drives at Sunderbani in Nowshera and Village Braman in Rafiabad, Baramulla, to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievement of becoming the longest-serving Prime Minister of India. The programmes were conducted as part of the party’s commitment to environmental conservation and the ideals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The plantation drive at Village Braman, Rafiabad, was held under the leadership of Gulzar Ahmed, Constituency President BJP OBC Morcha Rafiabad, while the cleanliness drive was organised at the revered Baba Narsingh Dev Sthan in Sunderbani under the leadership of Suresh Kumar Mehra, Mandal President BJP OBC Morcha.
During the programmes, party leaders, workers and local residents actively participated in planting saplings of indigenous species and carrying out cleanliness activities. Volunteers cleaned the surroundings and temple premises, spreading awareness about environmental protection and public responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness.
The plantation drive in Rafiabad was attended by Fayaz Ahmad, State General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha, Tariq Ahmad Ganie, District Vice President BJP OBC Morcha Baramulla, and Muzaffar Ahmad Nazar, District General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha Baramulla, along with several party workers and local residents.
The cleanliness drive at Sunderbani witnessed the participation of Pritam Sharma, District President BJP; Sham Mehra, State General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha; Capt. Ramesh, Senior BJP Leader; Ashok Negi, District President BJP OBC Morcha; Babu Ram Prajapati, District General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha; Raju Gupta, Municipal Committee Convenor; Sukhdev Singh Jamwal, Mandal President Sunderbani; Yuvraj Singh, District Spokesperson BJP; Abhinav Prashar, District President BJYM; Randeep Singh and Ragunandan Antal, District Vice Presidents BJYM; Nisab Singh Chib, Cell Convenor; Capt. Sarban Singh Chib; Usha Rani, District Vice President Mahila Morcha; Gurmeet Kour, Mandal President Mahila Morcha; and Vipen Dutta, Mandal General Secretary Mahila Morcha, besides numerous party workers and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has transformed cleanliness and environmental conservation into mass movements across the country. They stated that plantation and cleanliness drives reflect the commitment towards sustainable development, ecological balance and active public participation.
The speakers urged citizens to contribute towards keeping their surroundings clean and protecting the environment for future generations.
In his message, Braham Jyot Satti, President BJP OBC Morcha, Jammu and Kashmir, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on achieving the distinction of becoming the longest-serving Prime Minister of India. He said that under Modi’s leadership, the country has witnessed significant development, inclusive governance and the empowerment of various sections of society.
Satti appreciated the efforts of BJP OBC Morcha workers across Jammu and Kashmir for organising programmes dedicated to environmental conservation and cleanliness. He said such initiatives embody the spirit of service, responsibility and nation-building envisioned by the Prime Minister while promoting awareness about the importance of a clean and green environment.
