JAMMU, Aug 1: Former Minister and President, Central Zone, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Babu Rampal has strongly condemned the barbaric killing of two non-local labourers in the Devsar area of Kulgam, describing the incident as a cowardly and inhuman act aimed at disturbing peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing profound grief over the tragic incident, Babu Rampal extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. He also prayed that the families find the strength and courage to bear this immense and irreparable loss.
Babu Rampal said that targeting innocent and unarmed labourers, who come to Jammu and Kashmir in search of livelihood and contribute to the local economy, is an act of utter brutality that deserves the strongest possible condemnation. He said such heinous acts are against the values of humanity and have no place in a civilized society.
He urged the administration and security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of this crime are identified and brought to justice at the earliest. He also emphasized the need to provide a sense of security to all workers and residents so that such incidents do not succeed in creating fear among the people.
The senior NC leader reiterated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir stand united against violence and terrorism and will not allow the enemies of peace to derail the path of progress, communal harmony, and brotherhood.
Babu Rampal appealed to the people to maintain calm and unity and defeat the designs of those who seek to spread fear and instability through such cowardly acts.
