REASI, Jun 30: As part of its continued efforts to strengthen bonds with the local population and promote inclusive development, Indian Army organised a Gujjar and Bakkarwal Meet at Adbes, Mahore. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities, village elders, youth and local residents. The interaction provided an open platform for community members to highlight their concerns and developmental requirements related to education, healthcare, livelihood, welfare and basic amenities. Representatives of the unit patiently listened to the grievances and assured the participants of all possible assistance within the existing framework. The gathering also focused on spreading awareness about various Government welfare schemes, educational opportunities for youth, healthcare initiatives and the importance of maintaining peace, harmony and communal brotherhood.
The Gujjar and Bakkarwal community appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for its continuous efforts in promoting trust, mutual understanding and socio-economic development in the remote areas of Reasi district.
