JAMMU, Jul 11: In a unique blend of fitness and technology, AI Weekends (AI&W), in collaboration with MOBE, organised Jammu’s first-ever AI-powered community run, bringing together artificial intelligence enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, students, researchers, and fitness enthusiasts under one platform.
The event began with a community run led by MOBE, followed by an AI co-building session hosted by the AI Weekends Jammu chapter at The Grandstand. Participants later joined a coffee meet-up where they explored emerging AI tools, collaborated on projects, exchanged ideas, and networked with like-minded innovators.
Organisers said the initiative marked the first time a community run had been integrated with a hands-on AI building session in Jammu, creating a platform that combined physical wellness with technological innovation.
The event was made possible through the efforts of MOBE, which has been actively promoting a running culture in Jammu over the past several months by encouraging community participation and healthy lifestyles. The collaboration highlighted how fitness and innovation can complement each other in building stronger communities.
AI Weekends is a rapidly growing community-driven initiative that promotes hands-on learning and collaborative innovation in artificial intelligence. Unlike traditional conferences, the platform focuses on practical AI development, enabling participants from diverse backgrounds to build projects and share knowledge.
The Jammu chapter is led by Krishna Saproo, Founder and CEO of NeuroXOHRD, who is working to strengthen the region’s AI ecosystem by creating opportunities for builders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students to collaborate.
One participant described the event as “the perfect blend of fitness and future-building,” saying the community run brought energy and discipline, while the AI session provided an opportunity to channel that energy into meaningful innovation.
The event attracted participants from Jammu and several districts of Jammu and Kashmir and received an enthusiastic response. Organisers said the initiative marks the beginning of many such collaborative programmes aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, well-being, and community engagement across the region.
