JAMMU, Aug 3: AAP leader Amit Kapoor launched a sharp attack on Jammu & Kashmir Health and Education Minister Sakina Itoo, alleging widespread irregularities in the functioning of the Education Department and government hospitals across the Union Territory.
Addressing the media, Kapoor claimed that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are suffering due to administrative failures and alleged mismanagement in both the health and education sectors. He further accused the Education Department of irregularities and criticized the treatment of patients in government hospitals, alleging that some doctors display unprofessional and insensitive behaviour toward the public.
Referring to a recent incident involving the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Kapoor alleged that a patient was mistreated. He said the incident was strongly opposed by Yuva Rajput Sabha President Dilawar Singh. Kapoor further alleged that following the protest, two FIRs were registered against Dilawar Singh on the complaint of the CMO, and questioned the conduct of the officer.
Kapoor called for accountability, transparency, and immediate corrective action to ensure better governance and respectful treatment of citizens in the health and education sectors.
