POONCH, Jun 24: An Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Meet was conducted at Chassana under the aegis of the Indian Army. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris of the region. During the interaction, various welfare schemes and benefits available to Ex-Servicemen were discussed. Grievances and issues raised by the attendees were heard and suitable guidance was provided. Special emphasis was laid on the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan.
The participants were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug abuse on individuals, families and society. They were encouraged to act as ambassadors of the anti-drug campaign and contribute towards creating a drug-free and healthy society.
The attendees appreciated the initiative and reaffirmed their commitment towards supporting the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan and fostering social awareness in their respective villages and communities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and reaffirmation of the strong bond between the Indian Army and the veteran community.
